Use 3M's protective suit 4520 to protect you from dirt, liquid splashes and toxic dust, including radioactive particles. It complies with several standards for chemical protective clothing, including EN 1149 antistatic protection, EN 1073 2 radioactive particle protection, EN ISO 13688 liquid splash resistance type 6 EN 13034 and EN ISO 13982 1 dust protection type 5. You can easily identify it thanks to the green triangle which is made of the same 43 g/m² SSMMS non-woven material as the rest of the garment. This suit is designed to reduce weight and maintain performance by adding multiple layers. It is made of SMMMS non-woven fabric that consists of a layer of spunbond on both sides, with 3 layers of fused polymer material in between. The spunbond acts as a smooth protection against liquid splashes while the layers of fused polymer material provide an intricate multilayer weave of microfibres that serves to filter out dry particles. Soft, breathable and very light, the non-woven fabric (TNT) material allows for easier release of body heat and moisture, ensuring greater comfort for increased productivity in the workplace. The high quality design with 3-flap hood makes it compatible with other PPE, the soft knitted cuffs allow for a secure and comfortable arm fit, the double-lock zip and elasticated waist and ankle cuffs ensure easy removal, a better fit and greater peace of mind. It offers EN 1149-compliant anti-static performance to minimise sparking and flammability risks. 3M's 4520 protective suit is particularly suitable for applications where particulate matter is generated, such as pharmaceutical processing and handling toxic dust.
